Gary Schott Named Metals Department Chair of the Southwest School of Arts and Crafts

Stout alumnus Gary Schott recently joined the Southwest School of Arts and Crafts in San Antonio, Texas as the new chair of the Metals Program. He received his BFA in studio art with a concentration in art metals/jewelry from UW-Stout in 2004 and his MFA from the University of Illinois Urbana. A nationally recognized institution, the Southwest School of Arts and Crafts has active programs of arts instruction, renowned national and international visiting artists, and performance events in addition to hosting one of the premier contemporary art exhibition spaces in the region.
