IGDATC Event Recap

by Kevin Pontuti-Professor on Thursday, February 10, 2011 at 7:45am

Great IGDATC event last night at the Nerdery! Sandra Voelker is a very informative and entertaining speaker with a GREAT sense of humor. I especially enjoyed hearing about the team structures, international collaborating process and how they work remotely with their teams in Asia. (I copied down some of the flow charts...but I think we'll eventually be able to get the video recording of the lecture) Good stuff!

It sounds like the Nerdery is expanding rapidly. They mentioned they are hiring and looking for interns. I spoke with one of their project managers and it seems like they have technical AND coordinating positions that they're looking to fill. Here is their website with official listings. http://nerdery.com/jobs

IGDATC also announced that UW-Stout will be presenting their collaborative project with Big John Games at the next meeting which definitely intrigued the audience.

It was also great to catch up David Lund (alum) and Scott Gaff (our professional advisory board member from Flurry Animation). David was actively networking and made a few good connects. It's very exciting to see the momentum building. Keep up the good work.
